Shrimp and "Cwacka's"

Happy New Year!!! I can't believe we are starting 2010! We had a wonderful and busy year, with Addie and preparing for our second child. I'm in my 30th week of pregnancy and feeling pretty heavy these days. So....tonight for New Year's Eve, Brad and I enjoyed our own little date night after putting Addie to bed. I cooked Shrimp & Grits tonight, and it was yummy! Addie had her own little date for snack yesterday (her baby doll), and I thought this picture was too cute not to post. They sat at the table and in her words, enjoyed "cwacka's" (crackers)! I wish I could record all of her words right now, they are priceless!

Wonderful Christmas memories!!

Christmas Eve '09

Brad and I are abundantly blessed. We have felt that way for so long now, but when you bring a child into this world and share the Christmas season so closely with them, you realize just how blessed you are....what a gift from God! Addie sat through the 4:00 Christmas Eve family service at Mount Horeb Methodist Church today and barely made a peep. As she watched the short "play" of the Christmas story from the very back of the church, she pointed and said, "Mary, Mary!". Addie loves her first children's bible, and at 15 1/2 months old, she has found a love for Mary and the baby Jesus. Tonight, she wore her cross bracelet around her ankle (it's a little too big), that Granny Sandy gave her when she was baptized. With tears in my eyes, we ended the service with "Silent Night", holding our candles and holding our children- one in my arms, and one in my tummy. My cup runneth over........

Blessings

Last night, we had our annual Christmas exchange with Mimi and Granddad and Gu Gu. As you can see, I'm not the only one with a new baby! Addie loved the baby Gu Gu gave her, as well as the wagon! We also got a new ride- a Honda Odyssey! We love our minivan! I'm in my 29th week of pregnancy, feeling great and looking foward to meeting this sweet baby soon! Merry Christmas!

School Christmas Party!

We LOVE Addie's school, we could not feel more blessed to have her there. We love to display all of her artwork from school in our kitchen! Today, Mrs. Stacey gave Addie a stuffed Santa, and I think Mrs. Stacey may now be Addie's favorite person! She's actually napping with Santa now! What a fun morning with the girls!
