After Supper....

During the summer, we play a little harder and a little later! After supper tonight, Brad and I decided Addie needed some SERIOUS outside time! She woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and just needed to get some energy out! So, we pulled out the hose and our Addie girl went to town! She's late to bed tonight, but well worth it!

Cereal for Both!

Funny enough, both girls "started" cereal this weekend! Carlie is now eating cereal (she doesn't like it, but we're trying), with a VERY small amount of bananas and Addie had her first real bowl of cereal for breakfast! Our girls are growing fast!

Too Fast....

Carlie had her 4 month appointment this morning and she did great, despite the fact that she had 2 shots (she got cute boo boo band-aids!) and 1 oral vaccine. Mommy on the other hand had a "mommy moment" when Dr. C said it's time to start cereal.....what? Cereal? Already? A bowl....a spoon? It just all goes by too fast for me! Carlie's not a newborn anymore. She's laughing, smiling, holding her head up, rolling over- she's our sweet little girl now, not our newborn! I wish we could bottle up every moment with our girls. Too fast, too fast! Here are her stats from today: She weighed 13 lb's, 6 oz's (50th percentile), head was 75th percentile, and length was 90th......no surprise there- we have long babies!

First Haircut!

Addie was such a little champ today for her first haircut and looked like a doll when she finished cutting! I was so proud of her! It was a fun afternoon and we loved running into our friends while we were there! :))

...that Krispy Kreme offers buy one/get one free Sundaes on Sunday's this summer? We love it! We also love the balloons at Publix! :))

Day 7

Day #7 of staying at home, called for brownies and ice cream! Yep, it really is day #7 (of sickness)....hard to believe. Addie started with a really high fever last Wednesday, reaching 104.8. Eventually it was determined that she was suffering from Hand, Foot, and Mouth. Well, I decided to catch it from her on Saturday and our ped has confirmed that poor Carlie now has it. It's the pits! Thankfully, Addie is finally much better and ready to go, but little sis and mommy aren't quite up to that yet, so we watched her celebrate her recovery with ice cream and brownies!

Stuck

Our house has been SICK...everyone except Brad (knock on wood). Missed July 4th in a big way and we've been "stuck" inside. Glad I sell Usborne children's books, because they saved us during some stir crazy moments!

We're Back!

We're back! I have missed blogging....our computer crashed and it was just returned to us today! So, what have we been up to? Carlie Quin is growing like a WEED- pushing up, holding her head up, and smiling all day long! In 6 days, she'll be 4 months old! Miss Addie is a total ham! She hams it up for the camera, is big into "dress up" and bubble baths, and has really been a great big sis over the last few weeks. I think the jealousy has passed and she is beginning to think Carlie is pretty cool when she smiles at Addie. They will one day be wonderful friends! Father's day was fabulous- these pictures were taken before we all went to church. Why the organic pic? Well, Brad and I are working on our diet. We have decided to eat as much organic as we can during the week, enjoy some vegetable juices and fresh fruit smoothies, and really begin focusing on our family's health. I have just started an aerobics class too! Life is wonderful....it's busier than ever, but it's wonderful!
