Walking!!

It's been a while since my last post with pictures. Since Addie's first birthday, many steps have been taken! Yes, our little girl is walking! She started walking shortly after her birthday...lots of falls, but she is trying so hard! Here are some pictures of her walking, more of the birthday...etc. We gave her a kitchen for her birthday and she loved it! Also, our sweet friend Kaitlyn celebrated her birthday the week after Addie with a Barnyard Bash! Unfortunately, Addie had a cold and didn't make it to the party, but I did and it was wonderful! Enjoy!

I love Fall!

I just love the Fall season! So, I had to change the background to add a little "pumpkin" color to our month! New pictures are coming very soon, we have been very busy over the last few weeks!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY our sweet angel!!!!!!!!!! What in the WORLD did we do before you came into our lives?? You have made this year amazing and we look foward to many, many special years with you! We can't believe how you have grown and all of the joys that have come with watching you day after day. We are so thankful for you Addie Grace Perkins. You are such a gift and we love you dearly. Happy birthday little one!

School is Starting!

What a big week for Addie!! This Wednesday, she'll be turning 1 (you'll see the picture where she's holding up her finger to show how old she is), and tommorrow morning she will begin her little school! We enrolled her for the Parent's Morning Out program at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Lexington. She will be going every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:00-12:00. These are pictures from the Open House last week with her teacher, Mrs. Stacey. We are so excited that her friend Kaitlyn will be with her on Tuesday mornings- there will be 4 children in the class! Also, this past weekend, we visited Mimi and took a shot of all the generations. Birthday pictures coming this week!

Double Ear Infection?

You'd think I was talking about Addie....but nope.....it was me. Brad insists that we blog about this, because it's just the craziest thing I think I've had to ever endure. The pain of a double ear infection, on top of the sickness that the first trimester graces me with, creates one unhappy mama!! Thankfully, Addie was a great nurse and made it all better, while mom laid on the couch! Here are some pics from the week- daddy took her to a birthday party, she decided to start using her walker all by herself, and she is making her way around the house to find all kinds of interesting things!

Big Girl Bath and Playtime!

Well, we finally took Addie out of her smaller tub, that we were putting in our tub, and let her go! She LOVES the freedom! Addie has always loved bathtime, but now she really loves it! It's quite a job to keep her from standing in the big girl tub! I'm also posting several pics from the week-we went to Saluda Shoals Park for a birthday party and had a great time playing in the water! Finally, three pictures of our sweet 2nd baby who continues to grow! I am 9 weeks, 2 days and this is the last ultrasound until week #18ish. The heartbeat today was 174 bpm and everything looked great! The little leg and arm buds were moving all around! We are so thankful to be moving quickly through the first trimester and for feeling confident so far, that this will be a healthy, wonderful experience!
