The Grand Finale
Check out Addie UNDER WATER! The teacher said she was under the water for 6 to 7 seconds today! She ended our lessons on a great note!
Her biggest fan!
On a cute note to end this post, I thought I'd share a pic with you of where I found Carlie today hanging out. She cracks us up ~ into EVERYTHING!
This and That
What have we been up to? Well, a little of this and a little of that. Here's a peek into our week.
For some reason, when I was completing this blog, my pictures became all jumbled up and they are now in a random order. Oh well, I'll explain them the best I can. Let's see.....first, we have Addie loving the sprinkler in our front yard and YES, she is fully clothed. Who needs a bathing suit in the evening? Our friends/neighbors next door joined in on the fun!
Tonight, Addie has her final swim lesson. Wow, she has done GREAT! We are definately going to sign Carlie up next year. These lessons have been wonderful for confidence and safety. Here's a pic of the girls, after our trip to a friend's pool this week. I braved the pool with both by myself, and they did great!
Yumilicious with friends. We really love this place! In fact, the yogurt and toppings may be a small craving for me!
Caleb will be a big brother for a second time in about six weeks. His rockstar mommy will have her third baby boy soon!
Carlie eats the avocado yogurt with blueberries on top. Don't knock it till' ya try it! You GO GIRL with your spoon!
A craft here and there....
So, Carlie is cracking us up with the camera these days. "Carlie, can you smile?" Oh, and yes that is a baby bathtub in the middle of our den. The girls love to play in it!
Back to the Yumilicious pictures. Robyn, lives in our neighborhood and has just quit teaching to stay at home with her precious baby girl! We are thrilled for her!
Another "smiling" Carlie!
Robyn's little girl~ 9 months old!
Finally, my favorite one of the smiles!

Welcome Summer!
This past week, we pretty much lived in the water and had great friends to keep us company!!
Thank you Cortney for a wonderful morning! We loved
Noah's Ark!
On Friday afternoon, we went to sweet Caleb's birthday party. I WISH I had taken my camera to party, but I forgot it. So, here's a pic of the birthday boy below from a playdate this week. In a nut shell, it was a wonderful evening outside, complete with a slip 'n slide, swing set, baby pool,
cookout, and snow cones!
An evening swim with friends ~ this was the night that Addie began swimming by herself!
Carlie had a ball too!
I'm sure this is first of many rides home, in
swim diapers only, this summer.....
.....and eating on the go!
Swimming in Mimi and Grandad's pool today!
Carlie was all smiles today. She is really starting to come around, in regards to the pool.
We will keep trying, for sure!
The end of a VERY fun and busy week!

Swim Update
So, for those of you who have faithfully followed Addie's swimming adventures this week, I have a BIG update! We went swimming with friends tonight (more pics to come!!) and for the FIRST TIME, Addie swam all by herself!! She was swimming around the entire pool without holding on to us and did this for an hour! She even jumped off the side several times, to daddy! I am amazed at how encouraged she has become after only three swim lessons. These lessons have been a huge blessing ~ we are so proud of her!
Carlie
This little girl is a slice of heaven. She's beautiful, funny, lovable, cuddly, and smart. She's an angel, and I tell her that every night before she goes to bed. Lately, this little slice of heaven has been giving mommy a run for her money! She's beginning to excercise her first acts of independence and raises her voice to remind you, who is in charge. She likes what she likes and wants what she wants....when she wants it. She's not big on going outside, doesn't love the grass, not crazy about the pool, and isn't quite the "adapter" that some children are at this age. She is perfectly happy, within the four walls of our home and that's about it. Regardless of this "phase", that can be exhausting for mommy, in 100 degree heat and during first trimester nausea, I am blessed beyond measure. Her smile lights up the room. Her giggles make you laugh. Her blue eyes can knock you over. This little girl is a slice of heaven. I tell her every night she is mommy's angel and there is no tantrum big enough for me to feel any different. Hot Hot Hot!!
The pavement outside isn't the only thing that's hot this summer. Apparantly, there are some hot new titles out for summer reading this year, and I can't wait to dig in! One of my summer goals, is to read three books this summer. Just thought I'd share a few, that people are are talking about: ("Heaven is For Real", "Water for Elephants", and "The Help") Enjoy!
