Hilton Head in April

We had an awesome long weekend in Hilton Head with my parents. Highlights of the trip? Here we go:

Going on a date in Harbor Town for dinner with my sweet husband, eating tons of fresh seafood all weekend, sleeping in the room with Carlie like we did when she was a newborn (even though she was unhappy at night with an ear infection, we still embraced that time with her), watching Addie run on the beach like the happiest child in the world (sorry, no beach pics!), listening to Addie sing her ABC's on Shannon Tanner's lap just like I did as a child, seeing alligators in the lagoon, swinging the girls in 3 different parks, thinking about how AMAZING our Lord truly is for creating such a beautiful earth.

We're Off!

We're headed to the beach with homemade Gazpacho and all kinds of goodies!

At 5:00pm, this is what our den looks like. This scene continues around the corner, to the TV, and on to the kitchen. Is anyone hearin' me when I say.....It is TIME for a playroom???

Berries and Eggs?

That's right! This weekend included strawberry pickin' at The Patch and an Easter egg hunt with Mimi and Granddad! First, the strawberries.....a DELICIOUS treat for my family and Addie had a blast picking (and eating!) them! I made a homemade strawberry pie today to go with dinner~ we will be

picking more berries very soon!

Here we are at the Perkins' Easter egg hunt, right in our front yard! The girls loved playing with the eggs and finding them in the trees, bushes, and grass. After the hunt, we had a big family dinner, complete with White Bar-b-que chicken (click here for the white sauce recipe), 3-bean salad, cantaloupe, mashed potatoes, tomato pie (can you tell we hit the produce stand this weekend pretty hard?!?), and that strawberry pie we were just talking about!
