First Experiences

Daddy read Addie a new Usborne book we bought, tonight- I love selling these books! He read, "New Baby" from the First Experiences series. I HIGHLY recommend it, if you haven't seen it. We have the paperback version, for only $4.99! She loved the book and is so cute when she sees a "baby"...she thinks they are "silly" and giggles! She is going to be such a fun big sis soon!!

Ready for the Birds

We took a trip to Lowe's this weekend to get some bird feeders. Addie thought filling the feeders was so cool! She woke up from her nap, saying, "birds...birds...!" Looks like our next book will be about birds!

Impatient, heavy, and tired.....but BLESSED and EXCITED!!

Happy Birthday Mr. Perkins! Brad's dad would have been 65 today! We celebrate each year with his favorite lunch- grilled cheese, tomato soup, and cherry cheesecake, and this year was no different! We went to the ATL Bread Company this year to celebrate and God's grace shined through....our receipt on this VERY special day, was $22.20 on his birthday, 2/22. Brad wore his dad's ring, as he does on all special occasions. "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound....."

Mimi Brown and Granddad! Addie gave lots of lovin' to those two today! We went to Laurens for lunch and then played outside most of the afternoon. Spring fever has officially kicked in!

Big Sis

I'm due in exactly 3 weeks. So, in 3 weeks or less (we hope!), Brad and I will have two children under age two! We have had so many encouraging words: "It's the best", "We wouldn't have it any other way", "Their relationship will be wonderful!"... etc. Who knows what life will be like in a few weeks, but I can honestly say, we are absolutely thrilled! Besides, Addie is going to be a perfectly, wonderful big sis....don't you think?!
