Playroom is Open for Business!

I knew that a playroom needed to be created, I just didn't know where, when, or how! Our house is small and our space is limited, but we realized that she has been confined to a pretty small play area for a while and a change had to take place- especially now that she is mobile! So....during her 1 hour (I repeat...ONE hour) afternoon nap today, Brad and I disassembled the guest bed, hauled the mattress and boxsprings upstairs, took the headboard to the garage, stored picture frames and decorations, vacummed the floor and brought in the toys! One hour later, when sweetness arised, she had this room all to herself! Here are some pictures of Addie's first visit into her very new, and not completed playroom! Fun, fun!

This Week at the Pool!

Before I talk about the pictures, I have to note that Addie crawled....yes, a REAL crawl, across the floor tonight before bed. We don't know if she'll do it again tommorrow, but we'll see!
This week, we spent some time at the pool with friends. I love this set of pictures, simply because of the "daddy time" Addie had in the pool. There's nothing like a dad with his daughter....enjoy!

Lapsit at the Library!

Our summer Library program has begun and the babes are back in full force! It's a large class this summer with lots of activity. When we started this program, Addie sat in my lap, very quietly and really never moved. My, how a few months make a difference! She loved tapping those sticks together today and even tried to crawl into the circle with the other kids! We love this program and even better....it's FREE!

Good Times

I wish I could take a picture of Addie every times she strikes a pose, laughs, or gets caught getting into something she's not supposed to! She is so funny! At least I caught her in the act a couple of times! There are also some pics from Starbucks today with Kaitlyn and Emma Jane!

Our Weekend

We went to see Mimi on Saturday. Mimi, (a.k.a.- "The Original Addie") met us at the door, using her walker! Amazing, amazing, amazing! You would never know that this 95 year old lady has just had hip surgery! Addie sat in her lap for a little while, before wanting to get on that floor and move around! Here are some pics from the weekend!

Addie's New Ride!

Most people like to keep their "deals" a secret, but not me....I am very proud to say, that we bought this car for a whole $5.00 at our neighbor's yard sale today, with hopes Addie would like it. Well, check out the pics...."like"? I think not. "Love"? That's more like it. She'll be riding this car, way more than $5 worth!

9 Months Old!

Gosh, to say that this week, turning 9 months has been FULL of changes, would be an understatement! The day before Addie turned 9 months, I heard her stirring in her crib at naptime. I peeked in her room......and there she was.....SITTING UP IN HER CRIB smiling at me with her hands on the rail! Needless to say, the crib was lowered that evening! She has perfected her army crawl to a very fast speed, and is sitting up from a laying down position every chance she gets. She obviously has found this new independence to be pretty fun stuff! She had her 9 month well check this week, and was 18lb's, 10 oz's and was in the 95th % in height! HA! She has the longest, little legs! She is also free to eat pretty much anything at this point (except peanuts, eggs, citrus, shellfish, and honey). So, we took her to lunch after her appointment, and she had her first few bites of meat- it happened to be part of daddy's reuben sandwich! She loved it! She's also been eating pasta, fruit bars, tofu, cottage cheese, and she is obsessed with drinking from a straw, out of her new sippy cup! This has been such a fun week, full of changes!
