Choice

I absolutely LOVE to read people's blogs. I follow several, some that give great advice about raising children. I just read one not too long ago, talking about offering choices to children. I loved it! These days are filled with lots of "no's", "please don't's", "we're going here", "we need to do this"...blah, blah, blah. I decided that Addie would love to have some choices during her day, to include her in decisions being made. Today, I allowed her to pick which shoes she wanted to wear, and she said "flip flops". Ok, great! Did they match? Nope! Did she want to wear them? Yep! Perfect- left for the zoo a few minutes later with no fussing. Great advice!
